MONTHLY MISCELLANEA: OCTOBER

A Collection of Assorted Musings

 Welcome to October's edition of Monthly Miscellanea, a series highlighting the objects, people, places, and experiences that have prompted reflection and conversation of late.

01. New Arrivals: We're excited to usher in cooler temperatures and a new season of sartorial possibilities. Now available online are the latest arrivals from (new to the shop) designers, Nin Studio and Kkco.

@katieryankatieryan's "Bad Lemon"

02. Fungi in Art: In line with the rhythm of regrowth and transformation associated with autumn, we've been thinking about mushrooms. Some creative and inspired ways magical fungi are used:

 Clockwise from Upper Left: Mushroom Jelly Cakes from @lilasteinkampf, "Reishi Legs Side Table" from @martinalexanderstudio, "Aluminum, Tree Oyster Mushroom Boombox" from @10thfloor.studio

03. Halloween: On the topic of transformation, Ana of @all___kinds and our very own Diana win Halloween (fried egg nails by @leslydidthem).

04. Vanessa BeecroftPhotos from Rules of Non-Engagement at Jeffrey Deitch Gallery, the thirty-year survey of artist Vanessa Beecroft's incredible work.

05. Reemami: Alongside important aid and civil resources, fashion writer, Viv Chen, shared a thoughtful list of Palestinian designers who explore and celebrate their heritage. A favorite of ours is Reemami and this beautiful vest drawing from childhood memories.
